Measure of Success

The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.
— Robert Kiyosaki

This last week has been a blur. An amazing, emotional, hectic, tear-jerking, inspirational blur! Once a year, we hold our Black Belt Test. Eligible students have put in years of sweat, blood, and tears in preparation for this one night. This year was an especially momentous occasion. For nearly five years, we have watched two of the candidates juggle jobs, family, and training. They overcame injuries, setbacks, and doubts. It seemed the bigger the obstacle, the more determined they were to succeed! At any point, they could have stopped. No one would have judged. They had accomplished so much already. But no, they had unwavering plans to reach their ultimate goals!

How do you measure up? We are all capable of success. The size of our success, however, is dependent on our strengths and desires. Ask yourself these simple, yet powerful, questions:

  • How big is your dream?
  • How much do you want it?
  • Can you push through when things get tough?

Your chance of success lies within you. You have to set the bar high, work for it day and night, and never give up no matter the obstacles you may face. Reach deep inside and discover your full potential! Size matters! Go big or go home.
