Take Part

The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.
— Pierre de Coubertin, founder of modern Olympic Games

Nearly 3000 Olympic athletes from around the world entered the stadium during the Opening Ceremonies. Most will go home empty-handed...and they know it. As disheartening as that seems, not all the athletes are concerned with making the podium. The looks on their faces as they wave their home flag while the cameras flash and the crowds cheer, is a look of pure joy! To them, just being there, is worth all the years of training.

Don't let the possibility of failure keep you from taking part. Dream big, fight hard, and enjoy the experience.
