On a scale of 1-10, how committed are you of achieving your goals? As trainers, it is Steve and I's job to know our student's "number." When we start out, we are all easily a 9 or 10. We are excited, motivated, and ready to work! But over time, that number changes. For whatever reason, we begin to slip, losing that edge that kept us going and striving to meet and beat our goals. This is when it is important to know your number.
When Steve and I notice the drop, we search for the best resource of support. If it is a child, maybe a parent or a teammate to encourage them and remind them of why they chose this goal. If it is an adult, a friend, spouse, or support group may be the best solution. We all need support. There is nothing wrong with asking for help. Reaching a goal is tough! Losing weight, changing your eating habits, training for a competition, whatever your goal may be, grab some support. Do not let your number drop- we are here to help!
